Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty (born October 1st, 1995 in Berkeley California) is an actress. She is an American actress who has appeared in Choices (2010) and The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004).
Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into an actor's family and film makers, two careers which she's taken up. When she made her debut, she was only 9 years old in Sergio Citti's Sogni e Bisogni in 1988. she played the lead role in the debut film of Cristina Comencini, Zoo, and was part of the cast of The Church directed by Michele Soavi. The following year she played Nanni Moretti's daughter Red Wood Pigeon It was when she starred in Close Friends written and directed by Michele Placido, that Asia's career took off, and she had the opportunity to transition from roles that were played by young girls, to more mature, complex characters. The film was highly acclaimed in the Cannes International Film Festival. Daria Ninodi is the director's beloved actress. She performed the role of a girl searching for her parents killer in Trauma. Asia worked alongside Dario Argento in three of his films, Trauma, The Stendhal Syndrome as well as The Phantom of the Opera. In Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato a nozze, Asia's absorbed style of intense acting was used well. She also was a co-star in Carlo Verdones Perdiamoci di vista in which she played Arianna who was a physical challenged woman. The role was intricate and demanding, earning recognition from David di Donatello for the best actor. In 1995 she worked together with Michel Piccoli to produce Peter Del Monte Compagna di viaggio, for which she won the David di Donatello. Asia started directing short films in 1994. In addition, she was the director of an episode in the film De Generazione. 1996 saw her directing a documentary alongside the father of her. 1998 saw her direct AbelAsia about the famous filmmaker Abel Ferrara. This film received a prize from the Rome Film Festival. Asia made her debut as a director in 1999 with Scarlet Diva. It was also the principal screenwriter and actor. The film premiered on May 20th, 2000 in Italy as well as in various other nations. The Williamsburg Festival for Films located in Brooklyn, New York awarded it a top prize.
