Lauren and Markie
Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981 and has been a board member of the SSC's Board of Directors since the year 2011, was the founding co-artistic director of Speech of Fire. She was also the producer, costume/set designer writer/composer, and the text coach for SSC when she was its Artistic Director. Although she was usually the leader of her ensembles, her first directing role was in SSC King Lear. Markie Post......................Markie Post is a noted American actress known for her roles as the public defender Christine Sullivan in NBC's sitcom Night Court the bail bondswoman Terri Michaels in ABC's drama series The Fall Guy and Georgie Anne Lahti Hartman in CBS's sitcom Hearts Afire. She has worked in several other series besides acting. The Post family, which includes her two sisters and daughter were born in the home of her science-minded father Richard F. Post, and poet Marylee Post in Walnut Creek. She attended Las Lomas High School where she was a cheerleader. Following a short stint at Pomona College, she graduated from Lewis & Clark College. On a personal note Post was previously engaged with Stephen Knox. The couple has been together since 1982 to Michael A. Ross, an actor and writer, with who she has two daughters. Post is a source of inspiration for many Hollywood actors since she's both a fantastic actress and ideal wife and parent.
